BEFORE AND AFTER BOULDER #PROJECTFIELDCOURT

The Boulder Project.  I'm really sorry it's over.  I had to leave before I could move everything an inch or so.....finish that last layer with some plants and get some perfect detail shots.

For me that was hard.....it was my baby for 3 months....consuming my thoughts.

Today I have some of the real estate shots along with my iphone pics to share.  You know how the real estate shots are.....wide angle with all the lights on!

A floor plan of the main level for reference.

Here is an original real estate shot of the living area
After of the same area....real estate shot.

Just a coat of paint [BM White Dove] in here really....the chairs are from Target.

Most of this furniture we used in the last project!
All the pillows above are from Target.

The coffee table was ordered online from Target.  It was a breeze to put together [that is how I rate things now after that last experience with the Target console!] and I really liked it!

Target pillows.  Ikea sofa.
I love these HomeGoods vases....trying to keep everything kind of organic with neutral colors.

#surprise
#newsflash

Here is another before shot of the family room....
You can see we split the room because it was so large.

Took down the bookcases and added shiplap.

We added the shelf for convenience....to hold some wine or bread while dining!

And that large wall.....well we needed art on the fly and cheap!

So I got busy with some paint and white paper.

I know....original art is always better but this is staging people!

The table was from Target...not sure it is available any more.  The chairs are from Overstock.  Light fixture from Rejuvenation.

Real Estate shot.

Before real estate shot.  There was the closet as you walked in the front door.

And this was behind the wall.  The dining room was previously  located in this space.  In my opinion I did not want to see the DR table first thing after walking in the front door.

I know what you are thinking.....what do you do with that space now?  It's right off the kitchen....maybe the kids play while you are cooking dinner....maybe it's a good space to entertain....I love the open feeling of it.

Before
After

The iron divider is my favorite thing.

You can see through to the sunroom that was used for a sitting area.  It had a grill and we believe that it might have been a screened in porch at one time.

We decided to use it as a dining area.

Had some Schumacher wallpaper left over from the last project!  Just enough :)

Real Estate shot.  The mirror got hung!

Table from Pier One.  Bar cart from Target. Chairs from Overstock.

The foyer....

After the door was painted.....

This is the color which you can see better from the outside.

Before of the outside area....
After the new wood was put up.

Painted.....white.

I'll have more on Friday....the bathrooms and kitchen!

Maybe they will be nice and send me some more finished shots......

Y'all it's been raining for 3 days and I am starting to listen to sad music.

DESIGN PLAN

Remember me?  I'm back from Boulder and as usual it was jam packed with building furniture [epic fail], shopping, styling and coming up with economical ways to pull this project together in 3 days.

This was one of the pieces we tried to build

Um.....after 2 hours we gave up and it is now going back to Target half built and with a bad taste in our mouth.  Don't tell me while I am slaving..... trying to put it together..... to watch a video on how to put the drawers together.

That sent me over the edge.  Hands in the air waving a white flag.  Done.

And....I might add there are very limited resources as Boulder is about 45 minutes from Denver so there is no popping over to another HomeGoods to find that perfect piece.

Getting creative is an understatement.

Of course as usual some areas were not finished before I left but I will edit what pictures I have for the next post.

Today I'm sharing a new project for a young couple in my neighborhood.

Starting with the LR.

I posted this on Instagram the other day and even though I might be tired of the soft blue greens....this color scheme continues to be the most requested!

The front door opens into this small space so there was a little jockeying to get a seating space to work.

A small sofa and 2 spool chairs facing each other.

I used this Charles Stewart sofa so we could shorten it to 68".  Low profile arms will still give comfortable seating.  You can see the sofa is very light but it is Crypton fabric for performance!

The rug is from Surya and is a synthetic giving us a great look for the money.  Plus she has 2 dogs and small children so in 4-5 years it can be replaced without feeling guilt!

Because the room is small here are 2 coffee tables I sent her.  Both from Wisteria.

But...then I sent this one [from Ballard] to see if I could bring her over to the modern side:)

The good thing is that it won't take up much visual space in the room!  Guess what.....after some thought and discussion she agreed and it's been ordered!

Next up is a small table in between the 2 chairs.

These 2 from Wisteria were the rejects.....and the one below is the winner!

For window treatments I am staying simple with a a light scrim on satin brass rods.

We ordered this bench.....

For this wall with some art above.  I'm having it recovered in the floral fabric that we are using for the pillows on the sofa.

To the left as you come in the front door I ordered this console table. [can't find it online anymore]
I have been busy loading my car with accessories and hopefully it will be installed soon.

This area in her kitchen needed a little love for sure.  Remember when this trend was big?  A desk in the kitchen?  Since she is planning to redo her kitchen in the next couple of years we decided to make it look totally different.

Painted Urbane Bronze with a walnut top.  Open shelves above.  Let me get it styled up for you and then pictures.

I am beat.  The day before I left my husband had hernia surgery.  The day after I got home he had another minor surgery.

I feel like I need a vacation but that's not happening.  So I'll just trudge on.
