THIS AND THAT

OK.....not sure what happened but this last week just flew by....I mean it took me forever to take down my Christmas decor.....the mantel and some greenery.  Whew.....I am still recovering:)

We are spending our 11th year down at the beach and it's rainy a foggy....but very warm.  Also binge watching Making a Murdered on Netflix!

Filmed over 10 years....this series will make you question our justice system so hard.

The week before Christmas was kind of busy....

I was picking out slabs for a renovation...

We looked and looked and finally settled on Calacatta Gold....The floors in this kitchen are going to be a gray limestone which I am excited about.

I delivered this piece of art by Erin McIntosh which I purchased at Greg Irby Gallery

I am loving how this dining room is coming together....

Gonna do a couple of pillows out of this great  Duralee fabric from Tilton Fenwick.

I am still so excited about the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles project....

I love this desk that we found at Scott's....and pairing it with the Ghost Chair.  The lamp belonged to the homeowner and had been used in their previous home.

The architecture of this home is really unbelievable.  If you want to read more details about this project just search "Michael Ladisic" in the sidebar of my blog.

My girl Cami has been with us just about 7 months now and she is the best :)

I am so in love with her......

I am ready for all of the post on organizing right?

On Christmas Day I cleaned out my closet.  Not a "blogger" type organize where I paint....wallpaper the ceiling....get a spectacular light fixture and stage the hell out of it.  Oh no....just your basic old fashion organization where I had about 50 hangers left over so I did discard some things.

It felt good.

Happy New Year.

GET THE LOOK

I guess you could say we are on the home stretch now.....Christmas is this week so it is almost time to put down your pencils.

Ready or not.

I got an email the other day from Bellacor who was one of the sponsors for the One Room Challenge.....that seems ages ago huh?

They took some of the projects and did a "get the look" with items from Bellacor.

Here is what they did from my ORC Reveal
"Get The Look"...

Pretty cool huh!

Here is another one....from Vanessa Frances

"Get The Look...."

Here is Arianna Belle's beautiful room!

"Get The Look"

You can go here to see all of the rest!

There are so many good things to purchase on Bellacor like these inspiration pieces from Wit and Delight.

As a designer I love that I don't have to leave my house to get some great inspiration....especially since the traffic this time a year is maddening.

Your welcome.

Merry Christmas my friends!

SOME DETAILS FROM THE ATLANTA HOMES AND LIFESTYLES PROJECT

Thanks so much for all of the comments about my project in AH&L.  To say I am excited is an understatement.  For realz.

I wish I could say that everything in this home was my idea but that would be a lie:)  When you read the article Michael clearly states that he had a team.....and he did.  In my opinion [I love that about him]....his ego lets him realize that many people with different talents can bring so much to the table.

You can't be thin skinned and work with him either...because even if you think you have the best idea in the world he will ask everyone what they think.....!

Lucky for me I am easy going and always appreciate another point of view.  Round table decorating:)

There was a room that was shot but did not make the magazine article.

One of his daughters room....here it is a few days before we got notice that it was going to be photographed.

Insert "small panic scream"....yikes.

It needed a little help!

After a few trips to Bed Bath and Beyond and raiding the attic for some accessories.....

Erica George Dines photography

I ironed every pillow case and sheet....whew.
The lamps were changed out along with the lampshade from another pair of lamps.  The rug was purchased at HomeGoods and the headboard came from the RH outlet!

Paint color on the walls is SW Repose Gray.
The sofa came from PB outlet and the curtains from Ikea.....sewn together and hemmed.  The sconces are Circa Lighting.

Pillows from another bed in the last house.

The nightstands were previously in the old master bedroom....
And we had them lightened up with a wash.

Here is a good view of the whole room...when they were setting up the shot.

The ceilings are high so we had the headboard raised up.

You can see we repurposed so many things in this room and throughout the house.

From what I understand it will be on newsstands after Christmas. Don't think I won't be gabbing about this project for a while....I am going to enjoy my 15 minutes of fame:)

It's the last weekend before Christmas.....hope you are ready!

SCOTT'S AND MORE

Y'all last week I went to Scott's for the first time in at least 4 months!  I know.....crazy that I have not gone.

It turned out that while all the stars aligned I had this window of time and instead of doing the hundred other things I should have done.....I just got in the car with my friend Tina.  I don't even remember making that decision:)

Now..... I have put it out there before that I am very ADD but Tina.....well she takes it to a new level.  Between the two of us we were all over the place and I was so distracted that I didn't get many pictures.

This was already sold but I wanted it!

This wasn't sold but I couldn't afford it!

Scott's is a great place to find tons of blue accents!

OK....I think these pedestals would look good in a modern space just to add that element of surprise.

Color!!!

Neutrals.....

And for those of you keeping tabs I finally got a wreath and did  the smallest about of decorating around the house.

Not enough for a blog tour or anything like that:)

I have been picking out light fixtures for a new home and I am in love with this Circa Lighting black and gold number!

My friend had a Christmas Party with a purpose!

Daffy's Pet Soup Kitchen is a charity that helps pets and families in need by giving out food and assistance to pet owners that have fallen on hard times.

We all brought donations or something to be auctioned off.

AND....she raised over 2000.00!

Her house looked so good....you know nothing like a party to get stuff done.

That tree was 20ft high!

And.....if you are still reading this crazy post here is the January Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles with the project that I have been working on for over a year featured on the cover.  More about this on Friday.

Pinch me please.
