CHRISTMAS 2013 PART 2

Christmas is practically around the corner.

Traffic is peaking here in Atlanta and you can't get anywhere.  Kind of makes it hard for a gal who still has errands to do for clients!

It looks like I won't be wrapping things up until Christmas Eve but after that….the fat lady will sing.

I have another batch of my semi Christmas decor pictures to share today.  I admit that after seeing so many incredibly decorated homes in blogland this season it's pretty easy to feel inadequate.

Like I'm sure some people are thinking "oh isn't that cute" she put balls on a tray and stuck some greenery in a few containers.

Bless her heart.

According to reports let me just say the most irritating word for 2013…..Whatever.

This area got just that….greenery.

A few topiaries and a paperwhite.

Everything grows in this sunny spot!

It's like a mini greenhouse:)
Yup…more greenery in a vase.  Will the creativity ever stop.

This has nothing to do with Christmas but I put these cuttings in with some water about 4 months ago…..look how they have rooted.

I saw these cute trees at Home Depot and pounced.

I can't remember where I got this basket but again….stuffed with greenery and a few pinecones.

  I'm starting to bore myself.

I'll have the last batch to share on Monday.

Yawn.

4 shopping days left.

I personally love the greenery and simplicity. And you will be loving life when all of the other bloggers like me spend the week (or month) after Christmas tearing everything down!

You are too funny! I'm not really feeling it this year at my home, but the live greenery has helped. I actually like what you've done. Festive, simple, and warm. I'm looking forward to seeing the next batch of photos. By the way traffic seems to have doubled here in Los Angeles! Is that even possible?

Don't sell yourself short, Sherry. Your home is lovely and welcoming.
The paperwhites will last longer if not in direct sun. Good light is all they require. Merry, merry & Happy, happy!

I'm a fan. I'll take greenery over a eleventy billion santas any day. The only thing I do big is the porch thingy and it's covered with - you guessed it - tons of greenery.

You are always so funny! I enjoyed seeing more of your natural Christmas décor. I love the betwixt pillow in your sitting area too. I have the light tan color myself. Your front door is decorated very nice. I was out in the traffic today myself. It's AWFUL! I think everyone is off work and out of school so it's a little crazy now.

You aren't kiddng anyone...you make it look so simple...I have to laugh at your humor girl...my decor really is minimal (way more minimal than yours) this year. Isn't it a pity that we feel we have to produce something for our readers!!

Well, your humor is always appreciated and without reading the other comments to your post, I will say that I love your unforced style in adorning your home for Christmas!! Perfect in every way, Sherry. It takes a more critical eye to achieve this look... so no fooling me! Happy holidays and thanks for sharing the spirit of your beautiful home!

I am having a serious case of fear when it comes to selecting and purchasing curtains for my 1920s home. I have been visualizing the bamboo shades and sheer white cafe curtains for my front window and tonight I stumble on this image on your site!! Please share some details.

Agree! Would love to know where these bamboo shades came from! I loooove your style! I don't have the decorating gene so I'll just copy you. Mmmm k? :)

Hi! Was wondering where you got you blinds from?
Thanks Kelsey

DId you purchase the wicker basket how is/ or did you DIY spray paint it to freshen it up? If so, what color spray paint did you use. Trying to replicate the browns you have here that match so well with gray.

Thanks!
